Top tip for July… Get some exercise!

Why not encourage your employees to make the most of the long summer days with some extra exercise to boost their cardio-vascular health and enhance their feeling of well-being? For those that are lucky enough to have a short commute to work, why not suggest cycling or walking to work? To keep things fresh and comfortable they may wish to wear trainers for the journey and bring a change of footwear to swap into when they get to work.

Those that live just a little too far away could consider getting off the bus / train one stop earlier and walking the rest of the way in?

Small tweaks make a big difference so for those that have no choice but to drive to work, why not suggest choosing a parking space at the far end of the car park and taking time out for a stroll at lunchtime. The fresh air will prove to be reviving and will increase productivity during the afternoon. Small changes such as taking the stairs instead of the lift can give an instant boost – why not start an office-wide “take the stairs” challenge for a little healthy inter-team competition? As a bonus taking the stairs two at a time will tone their legs in no time!
