Father’s Day – Sunday 16th June 2019!

Just as Father’s Day is a whole day given to appreciating and spoiling our beloved Dads, stepdads and “as-good-as” Dads, let’s take a second to reflect of the importance of fathers in the workplace.

It’s safe to say that social and demographic developments in the UK have led to a change in the practical and emotional needs and expectations of fathers. In a growing number of households today, both parents go out to work and many fathers want to take a much more active parenting role than in previous generations.

Research shows that men increasingly experience stress caused by conflicts between work and family responsibilities. In recognising this, employers can help to support fathers to find an appropriate balance between work and family commitments, and in doing so are likely to benefit from increased commitment, engagement and productivity.

Let’s look after our Dads!
