National Minimum Wage, effective from 1 April 2018:

  • National Living Wage (25 years +):
£7.83 per hour
  • Workers aged 21-24:
£7.38 per hour
  • Workers aged 18-20:
£5.90 per hour
  • Workers under 18:
£4.20 per hour
  • Apprentices:
£3.70 per hour

Statutory Maternity & Adoption Pay, effective from 1 April 2018:

First 6 weeks – 90% of employee’s average weekly earnings.

Remaining weeks – £145.18 or 90% of employee’s weekly earnings if this is lower.

Statutory Paternity Pay, effective from 1 April 2018:

2 weeks – £145.18 or 90% of employee’s weekly earnings if this is lower.

Statutory Shared Parental Leave Pay, effective from 1 April 2018:

£145.18 or 90% of employee’s weekly earnings if this is lower.

Statutory Sick Pay, effective from 6 April 2018:

Weekly rate of £92.05.  To be entitled to these payments, an employee’s average earnings must be equal to or greater than the lower earnings limit of £113.

Redundancy Pay, effective from 6 April 2018:

Employers making redundancies must pay those with 2 years’ service an amount based on their weekly pay, length of service and age.  The maximum weekly pay that can be taken into account is £508.00
